Nitro

One day while on vacation in Joplin, MO we decided to drive to Springfield to see the Fantastic Caverns.  On the way there we spotting a large canister on the side of the road and pulled over to investigate.  We found this tank of Nitrogen just sitting there not even 2 feet off the road!

At first I thought this simply could not be a smart thing to do, but then I was reminded that Nitrogen is an inert gas and won't just explode.  Okay, so I thought this was going to be a totally awesome WTF! blog post but it is turning out rather lame.  That's what I get for forgetting my high school chemistry lessons.

There are some interesting applications, however, I can think of for putting to use this stray canister of Nitro.  If the field next to it were to suddenly explode I could safely smash the car into the canister to put out the fire; or I could just fill the car tires with it to prevent the rims from rusting.  I could use it to dispense my beer for a smoother texture.

I wonder how I could mix it with oxygen to make you all think this post was funny after all?  Maybe I can inject it into the engine to get me the heck out of here...
