Comeuppance

After the Fall clinic and then the Mite skills & placement clinic the Mite hockey teams have finally been set.  Earlier this week I checked the schedule and found that Sam's first official hockey practice as a Mite was going to be shared with a Squirt team.  The very same Squirt team that his brother Justin plays for.  What are the odds?

For me this is a great convenience as I help coach both teams and it will allow me to be in two places at the same time.  Bird was excited to come with the camera and take pictures of both her boys together playing hockey for the first time.  Justin claimed that every time Mom took a picture it would be of him plastering his brother on the ice.  So it begins.  They haven't even hit the ice and the gloves are half off.  We quietly reminded Justin that at 3 years his junior Sam is only 1 year behind in size.  Revenge is a dish best served ice cold, and someday Sam will be able to pound him on the rink.

Of course Justin laughed this off as impossible.  That is until Sam did this within his first hour on the ice!

Bring it brother!
