The day has come for Bird and I when minor issues no longer exist. For some this might mean that after 25 years of marriage we simply don't sweat the small stuff anymore. Or for some it could mean that in this time we've learned to side step the pitfalls and trappings of life that lead to minor problems.
But the reality for us is much simpler than all of that. No longer must we adhere to the responsibilities of minor guardianship. Our youngest turns 18 years today. Legally he can make his own decisions now. In fact, no sooner did he wake up than he chose to upgrade his PlayStation membership! I received this email at work early today and it served me as a reminder of the amazing work we've done raising an amazing young man. I think he's ready to go!
