The Jedi Training Continues

So we had to put the making of our Jedi swords on hold while we waited for parts to come in.  Apparently lightsaber components aren't as common as you might think.  We were also waiting for the brother-in-law to loan us a specialized sword making tool; ok fine, a large pipe cutter then, which he had up at his cabin.  To top it off we decided to finally setup a proper shop in the garage rather than leaving tools and dangerous parts scattered all over the kitchen table.  There's nothing Jedi about cutting open a gallon of milk accidentally - but it IS a cool way of slicing a loaf of bread.

After meeting some more challenging construction challenges we've finally arrived at what could be considered a final product.

If they want to the boys could paint the pommel a silver or chrome color, but for now they are enjoying the fruits of our labor.  And to thank me for all my help I've had my limbs severed from my body.  Many times...
