Bird and I are clinging to last vestiges of Justin's cuteness. At 11 years old he is rounding the corner on childhood and will soon be bursting upon adolescence. We look upon him as he does his homework at the dining room table and realize he looks like a young adult, makes sound and logical arguments, jumps at the opportunity to verbally zing Mom or Dad, and now sometimes eats more than his father during meals.
This is the painful pleasure of watching your child grow and eventually leave. So I hope you can appreciate that we took our chance today to enjoy a giggle at Justin's expense. While planning some shopping I was speaking out loud the things I needed to make Chocolate Butterscotch Pinwheels when Justin grabbed a notepad and started writing them down. Here is what he produced:
Priceless.
