Identity Crisis

Apparently I'm not who I think I am and I wish someone would have told me earlier.  It would have made so many things easier to pass off on that Joe guy.

Yesterday I checked my mail folder at work and found that I had received my certification for MySQL 5.1.  However, it came addressed to Jason Janhonen and indeed all the contents were imprinted with Jason's name instead of mine.  We happen to be in the process of building a MySQL pilot environment at work and I fixed a performance problem with a fairly simple configuration change.  While this resulted in a 10-fold increase in the application performance I must give all the credit to Jason.  He knows what he's doing while I'm just the puppet.

Today I received a letter addressed to Joseph Jonhonen with "Medicare Benefit Information Enclosed."  I'm 36, WTF?  This must be one of those signs of old age no one ever tells you about.  Furthermore, at my advanced age I would never noticed the misspelling of my name nor suspect that such a mistake might indicate this Medicare material is not completely on the level.  I should send them my credit card information immediately so I can pay for the prescriptions I'm going to need soon for all the hip surgeries and bypasses I'm going to need any day now.
