Dad Gone Wrong

So after a long day the family got sucked into watching "Chopped" on the Food Network, but it was nearing 10 o'clock so at the commercial break I told the boys to go brush their teeth.  While in the midst of commercials I looked over to see Sam leaning on his mother while still brushing.  Thinking how ridiculous it was that he couldn't leave the T.V. even for a commercial I pointed in a military fashion and ordered him back to the bathroom.  He quickly retreated.

Bird looked at me with an Umm... look on her face and said, "You and I both brushed our teeth in here earlier." I returned a blank look for a moment while a flashback appeared in my head of myself leaving the bathroom with my toothbrush still in my mouth to keep watching the show.  Oh shit - were the exact words that formed in my head.  I replied, "I'll apologize to him when he comes back out." [In my defense my offense was to watch the show while his was to watch commercials, but I digress].

So when he returned I said, "Sam, I'm sorry.  Mom and I both did the same thing earlier."  To which he got kind of a weird look on his face.  When Bird asked him what was wrong, he widened his eyes and simply said, "I'm shocked."

Little shit.
